It is a council regulation that every stall-holder must leave their site & surrounding area clean and clear of all rubbish on departure, this includes your cigarette butts if you are a smoker.

Council regulations also require market stallholders not to use non-recyclable or non-biodegradable packaging, including polystyrene packaging or plastic bags.

7 Permanent stall-holders

Permanent stall-holders have half-an-hour (after the market start up time) to turn up and claim their spots.

There are at present 13 permanent stall-holders. At the moment we are no longer taking on any more permanent stall-holders. However, in the future if the situation changes casual stall-holders will be informed, by the market manager. The criteria for selection of new permanent stall-holders include: trading regularly throughout the whole year, product type and adherence to the rules.
